Domaine Peyre Rose - Marlène Soria - Marlène n°3 2013
Domaine Peyre Rose is located in Saint-Pargoire, between Béziers and Montpellier in the Languedoc region. It belongs to the very renowned winemaker Marlène Soria . Although she comes from a family of winegrowers in the region, she began her career in real estate before venturing into wine. In 1973, she bought the Peyre Rose estate as a second home with her husband but following the real estate crisis, she decided to stay there full time and spent three years clearing the land before planting her first vines in 1982. Despite the difficulties, Marlène Soria vinified for the first time in 1988. Success was achieved but she encountered some problems, notably the pollution of her vat room in which she had invested a lot. Anxious to market wines of impeccable quality, she gave up three vintages. Passionate about nature and oriented towards ecology, Marlène Soria cultivates her 25 hectares of vines and produces organic wines.
Marlène No.3 is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Tempranillo . Aging lasts 24 months, with 1/3 in casks.
