Domaine de Villaine - Rully 1er Cru - Les Champs Cloux 2021

Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron , in the north of Côte-Chalonnaise in Burgundy . The estate was purchased by Aubert and Pamela de Villaine in 1971, and has been managed since 2001 by their nephew, Pierre de Benoist . Since 1986, organic farming methods have been developed within the vineyard. The estate has several climats in the communes of Bouzeron, Rully, Mercurey and Santenay which are planted with Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Les Champs Cloux is a Rully Premier Cru whose Pinot Noir grapes were vinified in wooden vats for 14 days and then aged in barrels of one to five wines. It is a wine with an almost rustic expression in its youth which will achieve finesse and aromatic density with age.
