Domaine Stéphane Ogier - The Time Has Come - Magnum 2023
Domaine Stéphane Ogier is located in Ampuis, in Côte-Rôtie , in the northern Rhône Valley. The estate has existed for 7 generations, and Stéphane Ogier joined the family estate in 1997. Taking over from his father Michel, he chose to work precisely on his different terroirs in order to reveal the unique character of these places full of history. From his experience in Burgundy, Stéphane Ogier has retained the taste for elegance and finesse, which has become characteristic of his wines. Each year, the winemaker strives to vinify the plots separately, to bring out the best of their potential. The blends are adjusted according to the vintages. When the estate began to vinify its own grapes, it had approximately 3 hectares of vines. From the late 1990s onwards, new vineyards were planted or purchased, including several in new localities in Côte-Rôtie and a small 1.2 ha vineyard in Condrieu. Today, the vineyard covers over 15 hectares, 8 of which are in the Côte-Rotie appellation. He also created a small trading company that supplies the fruit for the Le Temps Est Venu cuvée in the Côtes du Rhône appellation.
Le Temps est Venu is a blend of Grenache (80%) and Syrah (20%) . The vinification is carried out in whole bunches in concrete vats .
Grape varieties: 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah
