Cazeneuve Castle - The Limestones - Pic Saint Loup 2022
Château de Cazeneuve is located in the commune of Lauret, in the Pic-Saint-Loup appellation in Languedoc . In 1987, André Leenhardt took over an estate and began a restructuring; he uprooted 10 hectares of vines and restored the cellar. In 2010, his son Quentin joined him on the estate and brought a lighter style to diversify the range. The estate is located in a natural cirque backed by the Causse de l'Hortus. Its specific geographical location allows the vines to be sheltered from the strong winds that the region can experience. The vineyard is certified organic .
Les Calcaires is a blend of Syrah (60%), Grenache (20%), Mourvèdre (10%) and Carignan (10%) . The wine is aged in stainless steel vats (50%) and barrels (50%) for 12 months .
