Champagne JACQUESSON - Cuvée n°747 - Magnum
The Champagne House Jacquesson is located in Dizy in the Marne Valley , in Champagne . Its history dates back to 1978, when the Chiquet family bought the brand and transferred it to their family estate. In 1988, Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet took over the succession and have since overseen a rapid rise to prominence when Jacquesson was ranked third best of all the Houses after Bollinger and Krug. The vineyard is located in two distinct regions: the Grand Cru of Aÿ and two Premiers Crus in Dizy and Hautvillers in Marne Valley and two Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs in Avize and Oiry . Jacquesson wines come 80% from their vineyards, certified organic since 2010.
Cuvée No. 747 Magnum is made from a 2019 vintage base and is a blend of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir . The harvest comes from the Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvilliers and Champillon (75%) and Avize and Oiry ( 25%). It is vinified on lees in oak tuns and then aged for around 4 years before being disgorged in January 2024. It is dosed at 1.5 g/L .
