Chateau Paveil de Luze 2016
Château Paveil de Luze is located in Soussans, in the Médoc region of the Bordeaux wine region. It has belonged to the de Luze family since 1862. Following the death of Frédéric de Luze in 2016, his daughter, Adélaïde de Luze, took over the management of the property with her two aunts, Marguerite and Catherine de Luze. The vineyard covers 32 hectares in the Margaux appellation, and 10 hectares in the Bordeaux appellation. The property is managed using sustainable farming methods , with water management, treatment of cellar effluents, soil decompaction, etc.
Château Paveil de Luze 2016 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) and Merlot (20%) , exclusively from the Margaux appellation. The vines, whose average age is 36 years, are grown on a deep gravel terroir. The wine is vinified in stainless steel vats, then aged for 12 months in French barrels, 30% of which are new.
