Domaine Hubert Lamy - Chassagne Montrachet - The Concise Champ 2022
Domaine Hubert Lamy is located in the commune of Saint-Aubin , on the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . The Lamy family has been working the vineyard since 1640 but the modern Domaine Hubert Lamy was created by Hubert Lamy in 1973. Before creating his own estate, Hubert worked with his father, Jean Lamy. At that time, the estate covered approximately 8 hectares, mainly planted in regional appellations. Most of the development of the estate took place in the 1990s when new vines were purchased or leased. Olivier Lamy , having initially studied winemaking and commerce, joined the family estate in 1995. Before joining his father, he interned at several other wine estates and tasted wines from around the world. With this experience, he was able to bring new ideas and working methods to the vineyard and cellar. Today, Domaine Hubert Lamy has 18.5 hectares of vines spread over 20 appellations including Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay . The terroirs of Domaine Hubert Lamy are mainly made up of limestone. The vineyard is managed using organic farming, not certified .
