MILLONARIO - Solera 15 years - Reserva Especial - 40%
Ron Millonario is a brand owned by Rossi & Rossi SRL located in Treviso, Italy. In 1904, in northern Peru , the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo was founded, known as the "city of friendship". A group of farmers had banded together to trade their sugar and built a small refinery. In 1922, the Peruvian landowning family Piera de Castillo bought the hacienda, the refinery and the vast sugar plantation from the Gutiérrez family. In 1933, Don Rolando sent his eldest son Augusto to study chemical engineering at Cambridge University. In the summer of 1938, a ship bound for Peru left London, carrying the valuable sugar mills and a column still Scottish for distillation. The Ron Millonario brand was created in the 1950s. In search of new products, Fabio Rossi arrived in Peru in 2004, and discovered Ron Millonario.
The Reserva Especial 15 is the original Ron Millonario, the first version marketed. It is the result of a slow fermentation of sugar cane molasses and a laborious distillation. The maturation takes place for 15 years in oak barrels arranged in the Solera system. Each bottle is covered with hand-woven Toquilla palm fibers from the city of Catacaos, near Piura, in northern Peru. An iconic and elegant packaging, which evokes tradition and popular craftsmanship.
