Chateau Ferran 2019
Château Ferran is located in Martillac, in the Pessac-Léognan appellation area of Bordeaux . The vines were planted in the 18th century when Montesquieu was the owner. At the end of the 1990s, Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste took over the vineyards and set up investments. Since 2018, Thibault Lacoste , the fifth generation, has been in charge of managing the estate. The property covers 70 hectares divided equally between vines, century-old forests and meadows for Limousin cows. The vineyard is certified HVE 4 (High Environmental Value) and is managed using sustainable agriculture.
Château de Ferran 2019 is a blend of Merlot (77%), Petit Verdot (13%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) . The vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats and the wine is aged in Merrain oak barrels , 30% of which are new.
