Domaine François Lamarche - Côte de Nuits Villages 2022
Domaine François Lamarche is located in Vosne-Romanée, in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy . It was founded in the early 20th century by Henri Lamarche, a cooper. His son, François Lamarche, took over the management of the estate in 1985, accompanied by his daughter, Nicole. Nicole Lamarche has been in charge of winemaking since 2006. The approximately 11-hectare vineyard covers a dozen appellations, including the 1.65-hectare "La Grande Rue" Monopole, which is located in the middle of the Romanée-Conti plots. The estate has been run organically since 2010.
Côte de Nuit Villages is made from Pinot Noir . The grapes are destemmed between 80 and 100% depending on the vintage. The maceration lasts 15 to 18 days in open oak vats. The aging lasts 16 to 20 months in oak barrels, 60 to 100% of which are new.
