SASSICAIA - Tenuta San Guido 2001

The Tenuta San Guido is one of the most famous estates in all of Italy, thanks to its famous Sassicaia, a "Super Tuscan". Today it is the Marquis Nicolo Incisa della Rocchetta who continues the tradition of this estate. The vineyard covers 75 hectares in the Bolgheri region.

Surprising as always, Sassicaia easily brings together aromas of great diversity: minerality and white pepper, black fruits and camphor, roasting and violet. Powerful but not overwhelming, its nose already offers a lot of pleasure to the taster, promising a nice development over the years to come. The palate is majestic, generous and greedy, with tasty spicy tannins and salinity giving an unexpected lightness to this imposing wine. A wine to follow over many years.
