The Greenhouse Nuove dell Ornellaia 2016
BOLGHERI

Second Ornellaia wine, born in 1997 with the aim of making a subsequent selection in the blending phase of the base wines that give life to Ornellaia.
Produced largely from grapes from younger vines.

Serre Nuove combines the characteristics of freshness and suppleness with a structure, balance and intensity typical of the great terroir of the domain.

The harvest is done manually and the bunches are selected on a work table. Fermentation takes place separately by grape variety and by plot.
The wine will spend a total of 15 months in barrels. After the first 12 months, the blending takes place and the wine will age another 3 months in barrels. Aging will be completed by 6 months in bottle before marketing.

Intense red in color, the nose presents intense notes of black fruits and finely spiced jam. In the mouth, it is full-bodied with a nice roundness and particularly fine and silky tannins. There is also a very pleasant acidity which prolongs the finish with great freshness.
