Château FOURCAS DUPRÉ 1996
The castle takes its name from the locality on which it is located, Fourcas, located not far from Listrac in the North. The presence of vineyards at the property dates back to the 18th century. Today the vineyard is in the hands of the family Pagès and has 46 hecatres on which are planted 4 emblematic grape varieties of Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a little Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petit Verdot (2%) always very useful in the big years. After a classic vinification, the wines are aged in oak barrels for 12 to 24 months.
1996 is undeniably part of the great vintages of this domain. He is now ready to drink but will also be able to keep himself still for the most patient of us. Perfectly balanced, the balance is remarkable while the nose is incredibly complex, sublimated by aging.
