Domaine de DERNACUEILLETTE - Cuvée Anne Fleur 2014
Fearless "altitude winemaker", Guillaume Boussens calls for, since the early 2000s, the awakening of the Hautes Corbières. Miraculously removed from civilisation, these terroirs benefit from an exceptional climatic freshness, as well as a geological diversity equally astonishing - on these variegated soils, whose color changes from one parcel to another, it is not rare to discover beautiful crystals. Straddling three communes (Dernacueillette, Maisons and Montgaillard) the estate produces, for now, only reds, based on the trilogy Carignan, Grenache, Syrah; their aromatic character, very powerful, minty and spicy, between scrubland and maquis, is unforgettable. Thanks to the will of a man, thanks to his vision and his work force, a great unknown land is expressed.
The cuvée Anne Fleur is an impressive wine, made from a blend of 65% Syrah, 25% Carignan and 10% Grenache Noir (the latter two from vines ranging from 75 to 150 years old).
