Domaine Remi Jobard - Bourgogne Côte d'Or 2018
The Domaine Rémi Jobard is located in Meursault, in Burgundy. The 8-hectare family estate has been managed by Rémi Jobard since 1991 and has been certified organic farming since 2011. He cultivates 7 hectares of white grape varieties (93% Chardonnay and 7% Aligoté) and 2 hectares of Pinot Noir. He produces several cuvées, notably in the Meursault appellation, the Meursault Premier Cru appellation as well as in the regional appellation. Beyond organic farming, Rémi Jobard practices as little intervention as possible during winemaking.
Bourgogne Côte d´Or is Rémi Jobard's entry-level wine. This Chardonnay comes from poor clay-limestone soils, very stony and shallow. Fermentation is carried out in Stockinger demi-muids (Austrian cooperage) and the aging lasts 18 months in the same types of barrels, 15% of which are new.
