Château SIAURAC - Magnum 2015
Château Siaurac is a wine producer who owns three estates on the right bank of Bordeaux: Château Vray Croix de Gay in Pomerol, Château Le Prieuré in Saint-Émilion and Château Siaurac in Lalande-de-Pomerol. Siaurac was founded at the beginning of the 17th century by Monsieur Ciorac. The Siaurac estate was acquired by Pierre Brisson in 1832, who later left it to his son Benjamin Brisson. Under the leadership of the Brisson family, the estate became the largest of its kind in the region.
The estate is located on the Néac plateau, an extension of the famous Pomerol plateau, and its vineyard is in a single contiguous plot. It is the largest area of the appellation and includes 46 hectares of vineyards, a 19th century castle and 15 hectares of hills and woods. In 2014, Artémis Domaines became co-manager of Château Siaurac and used the group's experience to further strengthen the standing of this historic estate. The turning point came with the technical management agreement: Pénélope Godefroy (ex-Château Latour) joined the team to become Technical Director and Jean-Claude Berrouet, former oenologist at Pétrus, brought his advice and his experience of the Right Bank. as a consultant-oenologist. In addition, organic and biodynamic cultivation techniques have been introduced in the vineyard and the cellars have also been renovated. At the end of 2017, Artémis Domaines, directed by Frédéric Engerer, took over the management of the entire domain.
