Domaine BERTAGNA - Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts 2016
Domaine Bertagna is located in Vougeot, in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The 17-hectare vineyard produces wines in regional appellations, villages, premier crus and grands crus. Coming from a family of winegrowers in the Moselle Valley in Germany, Eva Reh grew up in the vineyards discovering a love for the land and a passion for wine passed down from generation to generation. In 1988, Eva moved to France to manage and restructure the Domaine Bertagna, acquired by her father in 1982. The work of the land is done with a philosophy that advocates respect for the land and is based on a reasoned and thoughtful ecological struggle.
The Vosne Romanée Premier Cru Les Beaux Monts is produced from Pinot Noir grown on 0.92 hectares between Les Échezeaux and Richebourg. The harvest is manual and the bunches are rigorously selected in the vineyard, and on a sorting table in the cellar. Fermentation occurs with 30 to 50% whole bunches and lasts a minimum of 3 weeks. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, for 15 to 18 months.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
