MALENCHINI - Chianti 2019

Villa Medicea di Lilliano is located in Tuscany, in Italy. The Villa Medicea di Lilliano takes its name from the Medici rulers of Tuscany, to whose numerous country retreats the villa was joined in the 17th century. With times, the Villa di Lilliano was transformed from a simple farm house to a lavish country home. When the Malenchini family bought Medici Villa in 1836, one of their first decisions was to plant vineyards and olive trees in the surrounding estate. Today, it is home to Diletta Malenchini and her family, the latest generation of Malenchinis. The carefully tended organic soils of the estate now support 18 hectares of vineyards and 42 hectares of olive trees.

This DOCG Chianti is a blend of Sangiovese (95%) and Merlot (5%). The fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
