Weingut Keller is located in the Rheinhessen in the municipality of Flörsheim-Dalsheim, in Germany. The estate's origins date back to 1789 when Johann Leonhard Keller acquired property at the esteemed Hubacker vineyard – a classified Erste Lage by the VDP. The family-owned and operated business has been managed by Klaus Peter Keller since 2001.
Westhofen is a wine-growing village in Rheinhessen with approximately 765 hectares of vineyards. Westhofen is the fourth largest wine-producing region in Rheinhessen. There are four VDP Grosse Lagen classified sites in the region: Aulerde, Kirchspiel, Morstein and Brunnenhäuschen. Morstein vineyard is at the western range of the village's winegrowing region and is a large 180 hectares regarded as the most prestigious in the vicinity and is host to at least six grape varieties. The minimum must weight requirements for Auslese in Germany is between 83 to 100 degrees Oechsle (the hydrometer scale measuring the density of grape must), depending on the region and grape variety.
