Autòcton Celler - Autòcton White 2019
Autòcton Celler is located in La Bisbal del Penedès, in the Catalunya region of Spain . The estate was created in 2007 by Albert Jané , a young winemaker from a family involved in the world of wine since 1914. He first settled in Montsant and then in Priorat, before returning to Mas Vilella, his family estate in the Penedès, with the desire to restore the native varieties of this region. Of the 20 hectares of total area, 8 hectares are planted with vines on very poor clay soils, some of which are also calcareous, at an altitude of 300 to 500 meters above sea level. The vineyard is certified organic .
Autòcton Blanc is made from very old native Xarel-lo vines. The wine is fermented and aged for 10 months in large French oak barrels of 300 and 400 liters (20%) and the rest in stainless steel tanks , on the lees with batonnage every week.
