There Grosperrin House was created by Jean Grosperrin who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after occupying the positions of agricultural worker, shepherd and sheep shearer in the summer. In 1992, he became a country broker and set out to meet small farms in the region, in search of the rarest lots. But in 1999, he took a new turn and bought a few casks of old cognacs. Combined with its three stills, the story of Grosperrin Cognacs begins. In 2004, it is his son Guilhem who takes over the business. It constitutes stocks and enriches the cellars of exceptional Cognacs. Also, he select plots and initiates contracts with winegrowers . In 2012, he went to meet the foreign importers and thus develops a network of amateurs and collectors.
Cépages is a rare VSOP , made from the Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grape varieties. It is a blend of different vintages from a single Grande Champagne property. Each year, the vinification of the wines was carried out separately, as well as the first distillation. The grape varieties are blended in the brouillis state, then distilled a second time to give each year a unique vintage. After long years of ageing, the vintages are blended together.
