Dalrymple - Pinot Noir 2020
Dalrymple Vineyards is located in the Pipers River region of Tasmania . The estate was created by Bertel and Anne Sundstrup in 1987, traveling to France to find inspiration and advice. Winemaking is led by Peter Caldwell , a graduate of Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia, and apprenticed in Burgundy, Bordeaux, California and New Zealand. The vineyard covers 11 hectares where Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are grown sustainably .
The 2020 Pinot Noir is a blend of parcels from the Dalrymple vineyards in Pipers River and Coal River Valley. Each site and each block is unique with distinctive individual terroirs, creating complexity in the final blend. Each of the plots has been selected according to its typicality. The vinification was carried out with 5% whole bunches, with two daily pigeages. The wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels , 22% of which are new.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
