Marinic - Refosco 2019
Domaine Viscount de Noüe-Marinič is located in Kojsko, Slovenia . It is the result of the alliance of two families: the Burgundian tradition of Charles-Louis de Noüe (the nephew of Jeanne Leflaive and co-founder of Domaine Leflaive ) and the Marinič family established in the hill of Gorizia (Goriska Brda) in Slovenia. Domaine Vicomte de Noüe-Marinič interprets the terroirs of Ponca , a clay-limestone marl resulting from the compression of the lagoon of Venice and the erection of the Alps. Under the reign of Empress-Queen Maria Theresa of Austria, the first Classification of Crus of the Counties of Gorizia and Comme was created in 1787. This classification includes 9 Cru classes, from I to IX. Domaine Vicomte de Noüe-Marinič has 20 hectares of vines exclusively located in I and II Cru.
This wine is made from the local Refosco grape variety. Wines produced from Refosco have particularly high acidity and are densely colored with aromas of violets, spices and plums. Noüe-Marinič's Refosco is vinified with half of the harvest kept in whole bunches. The wine is aged for 24 months in stainless steel vats .
