Paolo Manzone - Langhe Rosso - Luvi 2019
Paolo Manzone Viticoltore is located in Serralunga d'Alba, in Piedmont , Italy . The house and the vines located in the Cru Meriame de Serralunga belong to the family of Luisella Paolo for generations. Gian Paolo devoted himself to an activity as a wine consultant for many years until, in agreement with Luisella, he decided to create his own agricultural business in 1999 and in Serralunga it was decided to renovate an old farm. La Cascina Meriame is a typical Piedmontese farmhouse located in the center of its own vineyards and renovated with respect for the environment. The vineyard has a total area of approximately 14 hectares, with production ranging from Dolcetto d'Alba to Barolo.
Luvì is a blend of Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo , grown on clay-limestone soil. After the manual harvest, the harvest is de-stemmed and lightly pressed. The grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks where the maceration lasts 1 week. The aging lasts 12 months , part in stainless steel vats and the other part in French oak barrels .
