Domaine Christophe Semaska - Chateau de Montlys - Côte Rôtie 2021
Domaine Christophe Semaska is located in Ampuis, in the northern Rhône Valley. In 1988, he purchased Château de Montlys and its 8 hectares of terraced hillsides. Today, the vineyard consists of 15 hectares of vines divided into several appellations: Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Côtes-du-Rhône and IGP Coteaux de Vienne.
Côte-Rôtie is made from hand-picked Syrah grapes . 90% of the grapes are destemmed and then vinified for 20 to 30 days in closed stainless steel vats, under temperature control and automatic homogenization by the natural force created by the carbon dioxide during fermentation. The wine is aged half in new barrels and half in barrels aged 1 to 3 years for 24 months .
Grape variety: 100% Syrah
