Champagne JACQUESSON - Cuvée n° 746 - Magnum
The Jacquesson Champagne House is located in Dizy in the Marne Valley , in Champagne . Its history dates back to 1978, when the Chiquet family bought the brand and transferred it to their family estate. In 1988, Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet took over and have since overseen a rapid rise to prominence when Jacquesson was ranked third best of all the Houses after Bollinger and Krug. The vineyard is located in two distinct regions: the Grand Cru of Aÿ and two Premiers Crus in Dizy and Hautvillers in the Marne Valley and two Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs in Avize and Oiry . 80% of Jacquesson wines come from their vineyards, certified in organic farming since 2010.
Cuvée No. 746 is made from a 2018 vintage base and is a blend of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir . The harvest comes from the Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvilliers (68%) and Avize and Oiry (32%) crus. It is vinified on lees in oak barrels then aged for around 4 years before being disgorged in February 2023. It is dosed at 2 g/L .
