DAMOISEAU - Old rum - VO - 42%
Distillerie Damoiseau is a rum distillery located in Guadeloupe . In 1942, Roger Damoiseau, a former engineer, decided to buy the Bellevue estate, which was abandoned. He resumed a sugar activity by making candies and jams, and subsequently, rum quickly became the main production activity. In 1968, Roger Damoiseau's son took over the family business and specialized in the sale of bulk rum. Management of the company passed to Hervé Damoiseau in 1995, with his brother Jean-Luc taking charge of production. Jean-Luc became master distiller in 1978 and their sister Sandrine was responsible for promoting the brand. The Damoiseau distillery benefits from a sunny microclimate and limestone soil conducive to the growth of sugar cane.
The VO Damoiseau rum was aged for 3 years in oak barrels at the Bellevue distillery, in Le Moule in Guadeloupe.
