Dal Forno Romano - Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta 2017
Dal Forno Romano is located in Illasi, outside the Valpolicella Classico area, in Veneto, Italy . The estate was founded by Romano dal Forno in 1983. The vineyard has only 8 low-yielding hectares with gravelly and clayey soils planted with Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta. Dal Forno Romano uses traditional methods to grow the grapes, then employs modern techniques for production.
Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is a blend of Corvina (70%), Rondinella (20%), Croatina (5%) and Oseleta (5%) . The grapes are partially dried using the “ Appassimento ” method for approximately 3 months and come exclusively from vines over 10 years old. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel vats then the wine is aged in new oak barrels .
