Giodo - Alberelli Di Giodo Rosso 2020
Podere Giodo is located in Montalcino, in the Tuscany region of Italy . The estate was founded in 2002 by Carlo Ferrini , a famous winemaking consultant. Today he has 6 hectares of vines planted with the eight Sangiovese clones that most impressed him during his career. Giodo's vineyards are carefully managed, using sustainable practices wherever possible and exercising maximum quality selection on the clusters. The wines are produced in the Brunello di Montalcino appellation and certain plots have been downgraded to IGT Toscana. Podere Giodo also produces a wine in Sicily: Alberelli Di Giodo.
Alberelli di Giodo is made from Nerello Mascalese , cultivated at 950 meters above sea level on an area of 1.5 hectares divided into 8 plots on the volcanic terroir of Etna. The wine is aged for 18 months in 500 and 700 liter barrels .
