Château Dompierre - Le Blanc de Dompierre 2023
Château Dompierre is located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc , near Pauillac in Bordeaux . Michel Aroldi , born in Libourne, is heir to a long peasant tradition. In 1993, he bought Château Plain-Point in Fronsac and established himself as a very talented winemaker. Attracted by an evolution in terms of vintage, Michel Aroldi acquired Château Dompierre on the Pauillac terroir. He attaches great importance to respecting the ecosystem , the terroir and the vintage. Thus, from vines to breeding, he implements a sustainable agriculture process, inspired by simple and natural rules.
Blanc de Dompierre is made from Sauvignon Blanc from grapes purchased from a winegrower friend of the family, located in Entre-Deux-Mers. The harvest and winemaking are carried out by the Aroldi family. A third of the harvest is macerated for around 12 hours, and the remaining 2/3 is directly pressed. The wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel vats .
