Château Roc de Cambes 2021
Château Roc de Cambes is located in the Côtes de Bourg appellation, in Bordeaux . The Château was purchased in 1988 by François and Emilie Mitjavile , also owners of Château Le Tetre-Rôteboeuf in Saint-Emilion. It produces a Bordeaux blend wine based on Merlot and a Second Wine (Domaine de Cambes) sold under the Bordeaux AOC appellation. The vineyard covers 12 hectares and the vines, planted on deep clay-limestone soils, are around 50 years old.
Roc de Cambes is composed mainly of Merlot , with a smaller proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec . It is vinified in concrete vats at a controlled temperature before aging in barrels in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new , for 24 months .
Grape varieties: 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec
