Champagne Guy Méa - The Blend - Premier Cru - Extra Brut
Champagne Guy Méa is located in Louvois, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims in Champagne . Harvesters-handlers for 5 generations, the property is managed by Sophie and Franck Moussié . The vineyards are located in the Montagne de Reims Sud (Grands Crus Louvois and Bouzy, Premier Cru Tauxières-Mutry), in the Montagne de Reims Nord (Premiers Crus Ludes, Montbré, Chigny les Roses) and in the Vallée de la Marne (Premiers Crus Mareuil sur Ay and Hautvillers). Since 2016, no chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides have been used. The family has been committed to organic farming certification since 2022.
The Blend is made from Pinot Noir (70%) and Chardonnay (30%) from 27 plots from 5 villages classified Grands Crus and Premiers Crus in the Montagne de Reims. The base wine is aged for 10 months in enameled vats on fine lees before drawing. After the draw, the wine is aged on slats for 3 years . It is bottled with an Extra-Brut dosage of 4 g/L .
