Bodegas Olarra - Cerro Anon Crianza 2021
Grupo Bodegas Olarra began in 1973 with the construction of a wine cellar for the production of Rioja wines on the outskirts of Logroño, Spain . It is made up of three bodegas: Bodegas Olarra, Bodegas Ondarre and Bodegas y Viñedos Casa del Valle. Bodegas Olarra covers 1,200 hectares in the heart of Rioja DO.
Cerro Añon Crianza is a blend of Tempranillo (90%) , with Mazuelo and Graciano (10%) . Maceration lasts 2 weeks, with daily pumping over in stainless steel vats. A third of the wine goes through malolactic fermentation in new 225 liter French and American oak barrels, while the remaining two thirds have their malolactic fermentation in concrete vats. Aging lasts 14 to 15 months with regular racking in 225 liter oak barrels, 80% of which are American wood. The age of the barrels varies from new to 7 years old.
