Chateau Le Puy - Rose Marie 2023
Château Le Puy is located in Libourne , Bordeaux . It has belonged to the Amoreau family since 1610 and today it is the fifteenth generation that manages the estate, with Jean-Pierre and Pascal Amoreau . The vineyard now extends over 51 hectares divided into three plots. From 1990, they began research into maturing their wines without the addition of sulfites. These wines, made from perfectly sorted grapes, which are not sulfited or yeasted or chaptalized during fermentation, are aged for 24 months without the addition of sulfur dioxide. They are therefore aged by stirring according to a precise lunar calendar ( certified biodynamic breeding since 2012 ). These wines are the pure "Original Expression of the Terroir", as indicated on the label.
Rose-Marie is obtained by bleeding a vat of fermenting Merlot . Fermentation by dynamization is done in experienced barrels, without any addition for 6 to 10 months . Then the wine is bottled unfiltered and without the addition of sulfites. It is completely natural .
Grape variety: 100% Merlot
