Sena 2016
Viña Seña is located in Panquehue, in the Aconcagua Valley of Chile . The winery was created as a collaborative venture in Chile between Viña Errázuriz and Robert Mondavi . Since 2005, Seña has been wholly owned by the Chadwick family (owners of Errázuriz) and is the personal project of Eduardo Chadwick. The vineyard has 42 hectares of vines cultivated according to biodynamic principles since 2015. Eduardo's ambition is to create an iconic Chilean wine, with the inaugural vintage of Seña released in 1995.
Seña 2016 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Malbec (20%), Petit Verdot (12%), Carménère (8%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). The grapes for Seña come from the Seña Hillside vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley. The wine is aged for 22 months ; 88% in French oak barrels (73% new oak) and 12% in foudres .
