Château COUTET - Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2021
Château Coutet is located in Saint-Emilion , Bordeaux . It has belonged to the David Beaulieu family for over 400 years, and the terroir has never been chemically treated. The Château is now run by Alain David Beaulieu , his nephew Adrien and his son Matthieu. The vineyard obtained organic farming certification in 2012. The estate is divided into three plots; on the Saint-Martin plateau, La Côte de Franc and Le Pied de Côte.
Château Coutet is a blend of 4 old grape varieties: Merlot à Queue Rouge, Bouchet (Cabernet Franc), Prayssac (Malbec) and Cabernet Sauvignon , whose average age is around 40 years. After manual harvests, fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels and vats .
