Domaine Eymin-Tichoux - Cap Blanc 2023
Domaine Eymin-Tichoux is located in Seyssuel, in the Northern Rhône . The estate has belonged to Sophie Eymin and Kévin Tichoux since 2015. After meeting in Montpellier, the couple built up their experience for 3 years; in Chile, South Africa, with Pierre-Jean Villa in the Rhône, with Rémi Bouvier in Gevrey-Chambertin and with Stéphane Ogier, their mentor, in Ampuis. These experiences strengthened their conviction of viticulture that respects the terroir and environmental ethics. They favor short circuits and Made in France. Sophie Eymin and Kévin Tichoux are participating in the renaissance of the Seyssuel vineyard by replanting plots that benefit from good exposure. Today, they own 4 hectares of vines in organic conversion . Harvesting at maturity, they favor infusion over extraction to let the terroir express itself naturally.
Cap Blanc is made from Viognier grown on the edge of the Condrieu appellation, on a granite terroir of 0.4 hectares planted in 2019. After the manual harvest, the harvest is put into direct pressing. The vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 10 months in barrels of 2 or 3 wines .
Grape variety: 100% Viognier
