Château Cantemerle - The Alleys of Cantemerle 2015
Château Cantemerle is located in Macau en Médoc, in the Haut-Médoc of Bordeaux . It was classified as a Fifth Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. After having belonged to the Villeneuve (1579-1892) and Dubos (1892-1980) families, Château Cantemerle was acquired in 1981 by the SMA Group (Mutual Insurance Company for Building and Public Works Companies). The renovation of the technical installations and the replanting of the vineyard were immediately undertaken. After two decades devoted to oenological progress, the vine is back in the spotlight with a more environmentally friendly approach and the application of "green" techniques aimed at improving the quality of the grapes. Today, the Cantemerle vineyard covers 98 hectares, of which 95 hectares are in production.
