The red wines of Château de la Négly are made up of a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan. Some grape varieties such as Mourvèdre and Carignan are several decades old, sometimes even fifty years old. The location of the castle in La Clape facing the sea enjoys optimal sunshine with more than 3000 hours of sunshine a year. The cool nights help the vines to face the hot summer heat.
Oriented towards a qualitative policy, the entire estate is harvested manually. The strong Mediterranean identity is expressed through our grape varieties which come from Syrah with its aromas of blackberry and red fruit, Grenache for its fat and length, Carignan for its blackcurrant aromas and Mourvèdre for its peppery taste. which gives longevity and complexity.
