Clos Mogador is René Barbier's masterpiece. It is indeed to this Rhodanien trained in Burgundy and Bordeaux that we owe the existence of this great Spanish wine.
Nestled on a magnificent schist terroir, Clos Mogador delivers its first harvest in 1989 after nearly ten years of hard work. Combining protection of natural cycles and modern techniques, Clos Mogador is produced at the cost of titanic work. Thus, at the start of Clos Mogador's vinification, René Barbier presses the grapes using an olive press, which has the effect of extracting half the juice of a conventional press. As a result, Clos Mogador wines thus become much more concentrated.
On the nose, this wine first develops animal scents on the nose, then releases fermentation notes, then gaining superb fruit. In the mouth, we also find this intense fruitiness with a lot of breadth and greed to spare!
