Château Ausone is a 1er grand cru Classé A red wine from the Saint-Emilion appellation. The blend is made from Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

Upon tasting, Château Ausone 1988 first offers aromas of amber, fruit cake, crushed rocks and incense on the nose, before releasing sweet, fruity and mineral fragrances. This wine improves over time, having been somewhat closed in the past. It is to be consumed now.
