In the 1980s, he handed over his estate to his son André who took over the estate. He continued his father's work and enlarged the vineyard by successive plantations. He decided to convert the vineyard to organic viticulture at the end of the 90s, being then a pioneer in the region. He made the decision to sell his farm in 2014, when I worked with him on the estate. The Domaine d'Edouard was born from this takeover.
The estate is made up of 13.5 hectares of vines certified in organic viticulture for 15 years. The plots are planted on the two slopes of the village: one, positioned between Vaux and Auxerre, with a more clayey tendency: the other, located south of Vaux, more limestone.
The grape variety is typically Burgundy with a majority of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for the production of Bourgognes Côtes d'Auxerre. Other grape varieties are also planted: Aligoté, Gamay and César, a variety typical of the region.
