Domaine des Ouled Thaleb - Tandem - Red 2016
This Moroccan wine, Tandem, which is reminiscent of the Crozes Hermitage, is a real success due to its freshness and a discovery that transports you to the foothills of the Atlas.
This wine was born from the meeting between Alain Graillot, a talented Crozes Hermitage winemaker and Jacques Poulain, a French oenologist based at the Ouled Thaleb estate in the Meknés region (Morocco). It benefited from a particular climate: hot in summer but very cool at night. The Syrah vines have been worked by hand.
Alain Graillot successfully created in 1985 his own wine estate in Crozes Hermitage in the Rhône valley. Today, twenty-five years later, Alain Graillot owns some twenty hectares of vines. Its wines enjoy a very good reputation both in France and in the rest of the world.
This very talented winemaker and “mouth” likes sharing his passion for wine in France and abroad. Thus, by partnering with Jacques Poulain, a Bordeaux oenologist based in Morocco at the Ouled Thaleb estate (Meknés region), they created a 100% Syrah wine, a grape variety in which Alain Graillot is a specialist.
