The nose of great finesse is quite typical of Cabernet with aromas of blackcurrant, cedar but also caramel and cooked fruit.
On the palate, the attack is greedy. The palate is rich in racy and well coated tannins. The fruit rubs shoulders with spices, Havana and eucalyptus.
The finish is very expressive, long and powerful, harmonious and silky.
Mouton Rothschild 2003 ranks among the great successes of recent years.
Baroness Philippine de Rothschild therefore decided to depart from tradition by devoting the entire label to her ancestor, Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild (1812 - 1870), from the English branch of the family, who acquired this great believed on May 11, 1853.
Baron Nathaniel is represented on the label by a period photograph. The background reproduces in part the act of purchase of the domain. This document, preciously preserved in the archives of Mouton, marks the beginning of a long love story between the Rothschilds and the great wines of Bordeaux.
