LA GRANGE TIPHAINE - Clef de Sol rouge 2018
La Grange Tiphaine is located in the Loire Valley, and produces wines in the appellations of Montlouis-sur-Loire, Touraine and Touraine-Ambroise. The 15-hectare vineyard is an exploitation dating from 1850, then specialised in polyculture (tobacco, cereals ...) and which sees its first vines in the 1970s. The domain was bought in 2002 by Coralie and Damien Delecheneau and they work today together, assisted by two employees: Mathieu and Jean-Rémy. They decided to convert the vineyard to organic farming and obtained biodynamic certification in 2014.
Clef de Sol Rouge is a blend of Côt (also known as Malbec) and Cabernet Franc with an average age of 60 years. The harvest is manual and the grapes are meticulously sorted before being macerated and fermented in concrete tanks for a slow and delicate extraction. Aging is carried out entirely in 225-litres and 400-litres barrels.
