Louis Latour - Puligny Montrachet - Les Truffieres 1993
Maison Louis Latour is a trading activity located in Beaune, Burgundy. Also owner of an exceptional estate of around fifty hectares, Maison Louis Latour owns the largest Grand Crus estate in Burgundy. Wine merchant maturer at heart, it remains independent and family-run, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour, seventh Louis and representing the eleventh generation. Domain wines, like trade wines, want to be deeply marked by their terroirs. They are vinified and aged with care, respecting the traditional style of the House.
The Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Truffières is made from Chardonnay vines that are around 35 years-old and grown on limestone, marl and scree. The fermentation is traditional, in oak barrels with a complete malolactic fermentation. Ageing lasts 8 to 10 months, in oak barrels, 50% of which is new.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
