Domaine Thomas Morey - Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot 2019
Domaine Thomas Morey is located in Chassagne-Montrachet, in Burgundy. The estate has nine hectares of vines spread mainly over Chassagne-Montrachet, but also over the villages of Maranges, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Beaune. Thomas Morey is the tenth generation of Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet. Having experienced the farm of his grandparents and then that of his parents on which he worked for 12 years, he decided to create his own estate with his wife Sylvie in 2006. Thomas Morey’s estate signed its first vintage in 2007.
The Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot cuvée brings together two localities: les Brussonnes and les Fairendes. Planted in 1986, the Brussonnes plot is a recent purchase which has been added to the Morgeot cuvée since the 2005 vintage. Half of the Fairendes vines were planted in 1964 and half in 1974.
