Domaine Mann - Chemin de Pierres - Pinot Noir 2019
Domaine Mann is located in Eguisheim, Alsace . It belongs to Jean-Louis and Fabienne Mann , each from a family of winegrowers. Their second son, Sébastien , joined the estate in 2009 after obtaining a BTS in Viticulture and Oenology and various experiences around the world. The estate now has 12 hectares of vines, certified organic , including two grand cru vineyards: Pfersigberg and Eichberg.
The grapes are harvested manually and sorted in the vineyard. Each grape variety ripens differently, the harvest is spread over 5 weeks. The cuvées come from plot vinifications, defined by their locality name. The grapes are pressed slowly then the selected juices are naturally decanted for around 24 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for the white wines , and in 223 liter oak barrels for the red wines . It evolves with the seasons and these lunar cycles. The wines are then aged on the lees for about 10 months. Most wines are stored for 2 years before marketing.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
