RENEGADE - Pre Cask - Nursery Pot - 50%

Renegade Rum Distillery is the latest project from the man behind the revival of Bruichladdich Single Malt whiskey from Islay and the Waterford distillery based on the terroirs of Ireland: Mark Reynier . He chose Grenada because of its wide range of altitudes, microclimates and soils. In collaboration with CaneCo's agricultural partners, he was able to cultivate many varieties of sugar cane across the island on the different terroirs. Old and young, skilled or amateur, many Grenadians have learned new skills, mastered modern machinery, and turned parts of the island into high-quality sugarcane farms.

Nursery Pre-cask is made from a variety called Yellow Lady (B89447) harvested on August 20, 2021 from the Big Pumps field at the Nursery farm, on clay soil. The fermentation of the cane lasted 4 days and the distillation took place on August 24 and 25, 2021 in alembic. The rum was bottled at the end of February 2021 and 3,156 bottles were produced.
