LA GRANGE TIPHAINE - Clef de Sol red - Magnum 2018
La Grange Tiphaine is located in the Loire Valley , and produces wines in the appellations of Montlouis-sur-Loire , Touraine and Touraine-Ambroise . The 15-hectare vineyard is a farm dating from 1850, then specializing in polyculture (tobacco, cereals, etc.) and which saw its first vines in the 1970s. The estate was purchased in 2002 by Coralie and Damien Delecheneau and they work today together, helped by two employees: Mathieu and Jean-Rémy. They decide to convert the vineyard to organic farming and obtain biodynamic certification in 2014.
Clef de Sol Rouge is a blend of Côt (also known as Malbec) and Cabernet Franc with an average age of 60 years. The harvest is manual and the grapes are meticulously sorted before being macerated and fermented in concrete vats for a slow and delicate extraction. The aging is carried out entirely in barrels of 225 liters and 400 liters .
